Overview
Constant Voltage Transformer (CVT) is ideal maintenance free solution for loads that can Suffer erratic oeration or be damaged by electrcal noise(Common or series mode), loca transient, mains power sags, Surges and brownouts because of its resonant property. When faced with with an extreme transient such a local lighting strike, The CVT will present a low impedance to the main protecting both itself and any connected loads. The ferroresonant transformer technology ensures that CVT will generate a perfect sine wave output even when fed from square or quasi-square wave sources. A CVT is also the most efficient way to drive a switched mode power supply (SMPS), and provides harmonic buffering.
